a young BIPOC boy finds his sister’s Barbie doll. Through a struggle of his upbringing Cade finds solace in not only his doll, but his next door neighbors new girlfriend Prudence. This film is like if child Chiron from Moonlight (2016) met a doll version of Sindee from Tangerine (2015) who came to life like Eve from Life-Size (2000) with the utmost campness of POSE (2018).
D0LL PARTZ explores that moment in Queer BIPOC youth when something awakens inside of you. That there is a world out there that you're not yet part of is telling you that you exist. This story intends to affirm identities and their young queer experiences.
